Snowshoeing at Andraz Castle means experiencing the magic of winter in the Dolomites. With our snowshoes we will walk through gentle pastures, dense fir forests and fairytale larch woods. Some small huts will give an even more suggestive touch to our snowshoe hike.
The snowshoe walk to Andraz Castle is an easy walk, suitable even for first-time snowshoers, but its beauty will enchant even the most experienced snowshoers. The terrain, which is never too steep, makes it possible to follow numerous routes of varying lengths, so that you can enjoy this wonderful snowshoe walk in complete tranquillity.
For the more experienced, it is possible to reach the Sief Panoramic Pass, a wide pass that connects the Monte Sief and the Col di Lana to the vertical walls of the Settsass, a veritable panoramic balcony on the Sella Group and the main massifs of the Dolomites. Sometimes it is be possible to reach the summit of Mount Sief, where our gaze can freely rotate 360° over the entire Dolomites.C
The descent, whether we reach the Sief Pass or Mount Sief, or stop in the clearings below, will largely follow a different route to the ascent and will allow us to complete an unforgettable circuit.
On the way back on snowshoes, we will walk among the beautiful houses of the hamlet of Castello, a small village adjacent to the castle of Andraz, where time seems to have stopped in the last century.
A wonderful and unmissable hike awaits you: what are you waiting for to put on your snowshoes?
